30 Minute Chili Honey Garlic Salmon Bowls. Crispy salmon tossed in a spicy-sweet honey garlic sauce. Serve this dish with asparagus, broccoli, or a combination cooked up right alongside the salmon. It’s the easiest sheet pan dinner. Add a side of rice and a creamy special sauce. This tasty family dinner is great any night of the week and can be made in under an hour!

I love creating bowl-style recipes – ideally served over rice! I have countless recipes ending with the word bowl on this site. They truly are some of our family favorites.
This salmon included.
I made this a few weeks ago, and while I can’t remember exactly what inspired it, I knew I made it with my dad and Oslo in mind. They love spicy salmon (and tuna – Oslo’s favorite!). They don’t often get served fish at home, so I was feeling excited to share this!

When my family comes home from travel or we have out-of-town guests, I love to make dishes that I know they’ll love and get comfort from eating.
Travel always takes a toll. Nothing is more welcoming than a great home-cooked meal! This was the perfect thing to serve after a week of being away. Everyone loved it, especially Dad and my little 4 year old old brother, Oslo!

Special Tools
For this quick recipe, you need a sheet pan and a couple of bowls to mix the sauces.

I like to use cubes of salmon fillets. You can choose to leave the skin on or off the salmon, but I find the fish has better flavor when roasted with the skin on. Toss the salmon with ginger, chipotle powder, and chile flakes. I love to use Korean chile flakes.
You can find them online, at Whole Foods, and in most major grocery stores in the Asian aisle. I use the Mother in Law’s Brand.

On the opposite side of the salmon, toss the broccoli and/or asparagus with oil or butter, salt, and pepper.
Now, roast everything at the same time until the salmon is cooked to your liking.

Mix the tamari (or soy sauce) with the honey. Then add fresh garlic, or use garlic powder, chili paste, green onions, and a drizzle of toasted sesame oil.

Just 3 ingredients: mayo, chili paste, and honey.
I usually add a pinch of salt too. Or you can add tamari.

Pour the sauce over the salmon, then return the pan to the oven and cook another few minutes until that sauce really sticks!
I make a pot of coconut garlic rice.
It’s so delish!

I use gochujang, a Korean chili paste. This really provides that extra flavor. Again, the Mother in Law’s brand is my favorite. I get the original flavor from Whole Foods or order it on Amazon.
